Adobe release Adobe Edge to design animated content without the help of flash
Adobe has added a significant addition to their product line by launching a new web motion and interaction design known as Adobe Edge. It is an open development methodology with which the creative designers will get the ability to design animated content to web site and in the future simple games applying web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3. Adobe is planning to put in more HTML5 features like Canvas support, support for HTML5 Audio and Video tags, richer support for animating SVG graphics and more.
Adobe Edge is ready for use as a free download while in its public preview period to encourage web designers to research and provide feedback on. The 1.0 product is anticipated to launch next year.
The Adobe Edge preview works indigenously with HTML and allows users to add motion to subsisting HTML documents without changing design integrity of CSS-based layouts. The users can smoothly generate visually rich content from scratch applying familiar drawing tools that create HTML elements styled with CSS3.
